🥚 Egg Hatch Time Calculator
There's no purchasable item that reduces hatch time by a fixed percentage. The only speed-up is the Egg Incubator — a Pet Achievements reward you "power" with crops — so this calculator shows the base hatch time straight from the wiki's data-mined egg pages.
🍽️ Pet Feeding Cost Calculator
Calculates the total Sheckle cost of feeding your pet to reach a target level using the average fruit XP yield.
📐 The Grow a Garden XP Formula
XP required scales exponentially with age. Higher ages require dramatically more XP:
The XP curve above is a community-derived estimate, not an official published formula — treat the totals as ballpark figures. What is confirmed: each age costs progressively more XP than the last, so the climb slows dramatically at the top end.
Ageing a pet raises its ability strength (to roughly 2.5× its age-1 strength by max age) and shortens its cooldown by around 25%. Trade value scales with age too, which is why maxed pets command a premium.
Key Age Milestones
- Age 100 — the practical stopping point for most traders. Weight cap is reached here, and the XP cost per age beyond this becomes punishing.
- Age 500 — the hard maximum. A pet stops ageing entirely, and critically, only age-500 pets are eligible for pet mutations. This is the sole reason to grind past 100. See the full age 500 explainer.
🍎 XP Per Fruit (Feeding Cheat Sheet)
Fruits give XP proportional to their base value, but with diminishing returns on ultra-high tier fruits.
| Fruit | Rarity | Base Value | XP per Feed | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 22 | 50 XP | Level 1-10 grinding | |
| Common | 14 | 150 XP | Level 10-25 | |
| Uncommon | 18 | 300 XP | Level 25-40 | |
| Legendary | 248 | 600 XP | Level 40-60 | |
| Legendary | 2,905 | 750 XP | Level 40-60 | |
| Divine | 7,220 | 1,100 XP | Level 60-75 | |
| Prismatic | 25,270 | 1,500 XP | Level 75-90 | |
| Prismatic | 60,166 | 2,000 XP | Level 90+ | |
| Divine | 50,138 | 3,500 XP | Endgame (waste for XP) | |
| Divine | 136,278 | 3,200 XP | Endgame |
💡 Opportunity cost warning: A Sunflower gives 3,500 XP but sells for 50,138+ Sheckles. Feed cheap fruits (Strawberry, Blueberry) for early levels, save Sunflowers for selling. Use our calculator to compare exact ROI.
🥚 Egg Hatch Time Reference
Base hatch times only — there's no purchasable item that cuts these by a fixed percentage. The Egg Incubator (a Pet Achievements reward) can speed hatching if you "power" it with crops.
| Egg | Base Time | Notable Pets |
|---|---|---|
| Common Egg | 4h | Dog, Cat, Bunny |
| Uncommon Egg | 4h | Deer, Squirrel, Fox |
| Rare Egg | 6h | Monkey, Rooster, Spotted Deer |
| Legendary Egg | 4h | T-Rex, Dragonfly, Queen Bee |
| Mythical Egg | 7h | Disco Bee, Praying Mantis |
| Divine Egg | 10h | Kitsune, Butterfly, Raiju |
| Bug Egg | 8h | Guaranteed Bee/Butterfly |
| Zen Egg | 16h | Kitsune, Corrupted Kitsune |
🚀 Best Pet Leveling Strategy
- Equip your pet during Sheckle-heavy harvest sessions — passive XP scales with the Sheckles your harvests earn, so mutated/high-value fruit sessions level pets faster.
- Get friends in your garden — the friend bonus (+10% per friend, max +50%) raises the Sheckle value of every sale, which indirectly raises the XP those harvests generate.
- Farm cheap fruits at low levels — Strawberries and Blueberries give best XP-per-Sheckle ratio until level 30.
- Switch to Apples/Watermelons — best value at levels 30-70.
- Feed fruits directly for guaranteed XP — direct feeding works even when the pet isn't equipped, unlike passive harvest XP.
- Sell Prismatic fruits, don't feed them — 50,138+ Sheckles vs 3,500 XP for a Sunflower. The Sheckles let you buy Master Sprinkler → more XP later.

How much XP does a pet need to reach max age?
Age 500 is the maximum, and reaching it takes several million XP — the cost per age climbs steeply, so the final stretch is by far the slowest. Most traders stop around age 100 (~400,000 XP), where the weight cap is already reached. The only reason to push all the way to 500 is pet mutation eligibility, which is locked to max-age pets.
Can I lose pet XP?
No — pet XP is permanent. Even if you unequip the pet or trade it, XP and level remain.
Is there a "Speed Egg Hatcher" item?
No — there's no purchasable item by that name. The real speed-up is the Egg Incubator, a Pet Achievements reward that hatches an egg faster when you "power" it with crops. It doesn't have a fixed published percentage.
Do fruits give more XP when mutated?
Yes — mutated fruits give proportionally more XP based on their final sell value. A Gold Sunflower gives ~15× the XP of a normal Sunflower. But you almost always want to sell mutated Sunflowers, not feed them.
What's the best XP fruit-per-Sheckle ratio?
Strawberry (50 Sheckle cost / 150 XP) is the best ratio for early game. Later, Blueberry (400 / 300 XP) is optimal. Never feed Prismatic — the sell value is too high.
Can I level a pet without equipping it?
Only through direct feeding (open pet menu → feed fruits). Passive XP requires the pet to be equipped when you harvest.
Does pet weight affect XP?
No — weight doesn't change XP gain. Weight comes from hunger fill, while age separately scales ability strength and cooldown. The two stack, so a heavy, high-age pet is dramatically stronger than a light, low-age one.
